In each municipality there is at least one Centro de Salud (health centre), where one is cared for 24 hours a day in case of emergency. The big and modern island hospital is located in San Sebastían, where the ambulance is also open 24 hours a day. The emergency call for the emergency doctor is 112.
There is even a private medical practice in Valle Gran Rey. You have to pay the treatment directly in cash. You can reach the "Centro Medico" under the following telephone number: 0034 922 8056 29.
There are several dentists in San Sebastian. However, they often only speak Spanish. The German dentist Eva Maria Schütz runs a simple, small dental practice in Playa Santiago. You can reach Eva by telephone at 0034 922 895 676, but the "Clinica Dental" in San Sebastian also does a very good job.
Pharmacies can be found in every larger town. An emergency service is offered on Sundays and public holidays. Often the prices for medicines are much cheaper than in Europe.

Getting to La Gomera - Arrival
Meanwhile there are many, also quite comfortable possibilities to arrive to La Gomera.
However, most of the tourists still land at the airport Tenerife-South (TFS) and from there you have to get to La Gomera. Often it comes to longer waiting times, because the ferries drive only maximum 3x daily, or one must wait for hours for the bus, since one does not know when this actually comes.
We at Canarianfeeling would like to make your journey as comfortable as possible.
You can inform yourself on our website about the different arrival and departure possibilities to and from La Gomera. You can download the current bus timetable of La Gomera free of charge as a PDF file.
If required we can also book the ferry Fred Olsen for you, just send us your non-binding inquiry.
Bed linen - Towels - Cleaning
Normally the bed linen and some towels are provided. However, always check the information on your rented accommodation, where all the details are explained in detail.
Most accommodations are self-catering. This means that you cannot expect housekeeping and that you will have to get your own toilet paper and flushing utensils.
Often the accommodation is only cleaned once a week. Please contact us if you would like the accommodation to be cleaned more often and we will try to organise this.
Handling - Booking - Payment
Different payment and cancellation modalities apply to the different objects. Please note the information in the respective property descriptions on our website.
In order to guarantee the booking we ask for a deposit of 10-50% of the total amount after your booking, depending on the object. Each accommodation has its own conditions. After a booking we will send you a detailed invoice. In this invoice, the deadlines for the deposit and final payment are noted.
Some owner require a deposit due to bad experiences or a very high-quality facility. This will of course be returned to you after departure if everything is in order.
A binding reservation will only be made once you have received confirmation from us. In a few cases it may happen that the objects are already fully booked although they are marked as "free".
Please read our General Terms and Conditions carefully in this matter.
